Googlegiri is a new term which is used to symbolize an act of unexpected fiasco of an overhyped incident arising mainly due to a lot of backfiring. This word was recently coined during the excessive wait of Google Wordmasters 2006 result, courtesy of Harshad Joshi and his colluges. Used largely in geek and nerd community, it can also be extended into common public. Its somewhat analogous to term ‘Gandhigiri’, which also became a sort of hype when the latest version of a film called Munnabhai was released, although the terms and the meanings are totally unrelated.
Googlegiri (c) Harshad Joshi 2006, but can be freely used by anyone in any local language. No need to preserve this notice while speaking, but while using it in public media, a refrence wont do any harm 😉
