blow slowly

While going on a morning walk

on this road

goes no one

autumn and me but…

 

For a lone and heartlessly cold night

i threw away

a midnight dream

in a midnight dream…

 

Winter walking in Pune

falling on the ground

settles in autumn dust

a dry leaf..

 

For the leafless neem tree in my garden

eagle hovers..!

little squirrel scampering

Swine flue in Pune, India, some reasons and questions

Everything is justified.

However, India is more prone to any kind of epidemics because of the inherent unclean habits the common people have.

Add to it the careless attitude of people who actually are supposed to work on complex issues. The recent epidemic wouldent have had been so grave if the airport authorities would have done a more strict check of the people coming from abroad..what did they do? Just filled up a form saying that we are safe..some infected blokes slipped in the city, mixed with people and today, after 10 lives gone, we are wondering from where did it all start..!!

Nuts..isent it??

And one more thing..

This swine flue isent a joke anymore we sit and analyse it esp the punekar way..

Some families have lost their children, working men. This loss cant be justified. At this point of time, we all should support them. We need to realize the gravity of this issue.

Lets not take it like ‘just-another-thing’

Ignorance is a deadly sin, and we are paying for it.

Some things that came in this light

1. Where is Sharad Pawar, the head of National Disaster Management Committee which was set in Mumbai 2005 floods? I think the old guy needs to divert his attention from ICC to India. People are dying, food is becoming expensive and this guy..what is he doing??

2. Where is Suresh Kalmadi? This man is invisible since the Deepak Mankar incident, and even during the swine flu epidemic, he hasent come across to punekars? Is this what we have elected him for?

3. Is this a plot of a foreign power to disrupt the Indian software industry??

4. The CM of MH is a MBA, he is supposed to have knowledge of how to manage things..but he missed it completely. Confused, Ignorant and Pathetic.. Asshok Chavan should sit in his house …

5. Dont get out of home for at least 4 days.

I agree that this short peom isent mine, I take no credits for it. I dont know who’s written it, but what matters is that its an apt example of whats going through my mind..Normally I dont speak mushy, but now I am letting it out in public.

Honey, listen to me, you may never know or understand  it, but if you  read this, I confess that I loved you more then anything else. True we may never meet, but if I could show you what true love was, then its this….My words are turning empty, but the feelings arent…Dear God, if you get time from you daily chores, can you please listen up a prayer I sent for her? Keep her happy. Just keep her happy, I know what pain is like, but I wish she remains happy. She retaught me the purpose of life.Those beautiful moments she passed with me make me feel heaven. I have no complaints with what happened, nor I care a damn about whats gonna take place, but the fact is, I am in deep love, I am rediscovering myself in a form previously unknown to me..

Gosh, these feelings….let the rain come down and wash away my tears, let it shatter the walls and drown my fears..I feel as if I had been kissed by an angel of Love..A new day …has come…..

To all those boozing hounds and enemies of Love and haters of God, non believers in Love – This post is not meant for you. Not at all for you. If you are the pathetic and immature souls whose concepts are fake as that of Maya, get a life..shoo away, you get it, just fly away..hide yourself into deepest dark oceans or infinite space..Go….!!!!

Today is the second anniversary day when she met me on orkut, and sadely, today marks the first day of our official breakup.. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa………!!!!

Random Mumblings after a sleepless night

I am staring at my Mug right now. I dont know what I am feeling, but its sure that its not a feel good thing. Looking at myself, I wonder – What makes me suffer so much? What makes me behave crazy at times? How come my instincts lie to me at times? Why do my trusted tricks fail at the worst moments? Why do I get same thoughts after spending a complete 10 hours sleepless night?

Wish I could scream and let the whole world know I am unhappy, I wish I could cry and announce my sadeness, at least let those emotions flow though my tears, but nothing happens. I am just looking at myself and thinking – From where do these emotions come? Why is my face emotionless? Where are my emotions? What happened to them? Have I lost my emotions due to these gadgets((mobil, wifi, broadband, satellite tv, internet, blogs, networks) around me? This 24 hours connected craze has drained me completely..on top of that, inspite surrounded by technology, people, I am lonely…as lonely as a single cloud on a bright sunny day. At least that cloud looks beautiful on a blue background, me me is in blues, in gloom. Still no emotions in sight..has the mirror lost his charm…or is he showing me a fadeout picture of my everlasting cast…Love is phasing…Love is moving to the rhythm of her sight…I get closer, to the crossing point of light…

I dont remember that I was awake or in half sleep, but I do remember a bright light when my eyes closed. A bright light. Reminding of fire..fire like that of desires…Desires never burn, Desires never end, Desires are never over..and surprisingly, Karma spares no one..All night I wished there could be darkness, a place I could hide, but this light kept on chasing me. Is this what people call enlightment?? And why do people get en lighted only when their heart is broken? Is my heart really broken? Is it my figment of imagination?? I know that this world is a cruel place, no importance to emotions, especially for some stupid one called as attraction, love, whatever..But then I see people around me in love, where am I in there?

I need to take a break. I wish to loose my senses for space and time…And I will…..

At the same time, its wrong to long for a thing that never belonged to you, no one gave me the right to peek in their private life. I am not on the right track, need to return on my rivers of beliefs…the original me. The strong Harshad Joshi. The one who was before knowing all this. The one who stood by his principals. The one who fought against all evils. The one who was firm on his grounds. The one who never compromised. The first one to fight and the last one to quit. Thats me. Thats me. I want my glory back. O Mohiniraj, give me my strenght…

Broadband

I am happy with my new Broadband offering me 2Mbps, but I am not satisfied with the initial download limit they have imposed for the starter plan.

Unwiring Pune – Indias first Wi-Max enabled city

Finally its there. The ‘Unwiring Pune’ project has kicked off.. This new wirefree access utilizes WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) and Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) technologies to equip Pune with high-speed wireless internet. Wireless connectivity will allow people to access the Internet through a laptop or personal digital assistant (PDA), sans the need for cables. WiMAX is claimed to be the most cost-efficient way of building wireless data networks and a means to link people over large distances for “last mile” connectivity and bridging the digital divide. Taking a leap over Bangalore and Hyderabad, Pune will become the first Indian city to have a high-speed wireless Internet network even before the Centre’s much-awaited spectrum policy is announced. Initially Pune did had a demo of wireless internet access on Walking Plaza, but today, this project has finally taken off in grand style. Streaming, broadband access and that too with ease and convinience is sure to rock Pune. Imagine the power of Broadband without the hassles of wires..

What more can I say? Its true that Pune was coming in news for all the wrong reasons(rave parties, orkut misuse etc), but now I think that this news makes one feel good….Similar kind of service is provided by the search engine giant Google in San Francisco. Now we are at par with the developed regions in some departments, if not all, but that shouldent stop us from being happy..

WiMAX (World Interoperability for Microwave Access), based on the IEEE 802.16 standard, is expected to enable true broadband speeds over wireless networks at a cost point to enable mass market adoption. WiMAX is the only wireless standard today that has the ability to deliver true broadband speeds and help make the vision of pervasive connectivity a reality.

There are two main applications of WiMAX today: fixed WiMAX applications are point-to-multipoint enabling broadband access to homes and businesses, whereas mobile WiMAX offers the full mobility of cellular networks at true broadband speeds. Both fixed and mobile applications of WiMAX are engineered to help deliver ubiquitous, high-throughput broadband wireless services at a low cost.

Intel currently plans to integrate WiMAX and WiFi into its notebook platforms based on Intel® Centrino® Mobile Technologies. Pairing the two will help bring users the ultimate in high-speed mobile broadband. Intel believes that WiMAX, with its technical and economic advantages, should help enable mainstream adoption of personal broadband.

Moral of the story – Get a laptop having Intel Centrino Mobile Technology..

Update : 23 April 2008 – No further development and this project seems to have lost momentum

Shrimant Bajirao Peshwa

Shrimant Baji Rao Vishwanath Bhatt (August 18, 1699- April 25, 1740), also known as Baji Rao I, was a noted general who served as Peshwa (Prime Minister) to the fourth Maratha Chhatrapati (King) Shahu between 1719 until Baji Rao’s death. He is also known as Thorala (Marathi for Elder) Baji Rao.

Baji Rao was the son of the first Bhatt family Peshwa – Balaji Vishwanath. At the tender age of 17,he was appointed by Shahu as Peshwa upon the death of his father, keeping aside all other claimants.Thus making the position of Peshwa hereditary in the Bhatt family.It is quite clear from this appointement that Shahu recognised the talent of this boy and reared him as peshwa.Bajirao was well trained by the maratha cavalry generals who have distinguished in the war of 27 years.Perhaps his early association with these maratha cavalry made him a part and parcel of them.Like Shivaji or Dhanaji Jadhav, Bajirao was popular with his soldiers and even today his name is a honorable one in countryside.

• Baji Rao, who fought over 36 battles, is reputed to have never lost one.

• He was one of the first to understand and exploit the fragmenting Mughal Empire, following the footsteps of his father. The declining influence of the Sayyid brothers at the Imperial court was another factor influencing his decision to attack.

• The later Kingdoms of Scindias (Ranoji) of Gwalior, Holkars (Malharrao) of Indore, Gaekwads (Pilaji) of Baroda, and Pawars (Udaiji) of Dhar were Baji Rao’s creation of a Maratha confederacy as he wreaked havoc on the disintegrating Mughal Empire and set up his jahagirdars (governors).

• He moved the administrative capital of the Maratha Empire from Satara to the new city of Pune in 1728 with permission of his master. His general, Bapuji Shripat persuaded some of the richer families of Satara to settle in the new city, which was divided into 18 peths (boroughs).

His famous quotes are -
