Your commision was written in the sand
No emotion could ever stay your hand
No consolation
No word of love or praise
Your fight is over
Your enemies are gone
Your fight is over
Samurai, Samurai
Did you ever dream?
Hesitate, wonder why
At all the anger you have seen?
Samurai, Samurai
Does your blood run cold?
No light shines in your eye
No burning flame in your soul
If you’re lonely you never show a sign
No devotion could ever change your mind
No illusion when your work is done
Nobody knows you
Nobody knows your name
Nobody knows you
Samurai, Samurai
Did you ever dream?
Hesitate, wonder why
At all the anger you have seen?
Samurai, Samurai
Does your blood run cold?
No light shines in your eye
No burning flame in your soul
Samurai

One of my favourite songs. I also love its Instrumental Version (Sword Of Fear)…… n Long Version.
Infact this whole album is my favourite pre-Enigma, Michael Cretu album.
Actually, most of his pre-Enigma albums are too good…. and remaining are hard to understand (due to German vocals).

I had watched the video of this song, it was funny to see the skinny cretu in sleeveless jersy performing some comic dance steps, very flashy, very pop song from the late 70s and mid 80s.
In any case, Enigma project changed their fortunes.

Yaa the video is too funny….. atleast when we watch it now. Dont know if it was taken as “funny” in those days.

its really very funny, That song is cool …. Several of the tracks on The Invisible Man were edited slightly and, therefore, was different length than the German-language versions on Die Chinesische Mauer. This featured the song “Samurai,” which became a minor hit.
