Python Pits..

Q. How many times do we require to convert a python tuple to plain string?
A. It was during one situation that I required to collect some data directly from the database. If this wasent enough, I had to send the data to a mobile using sms. I used MySQLdb and connected to the database. The program was as follows.

import codecs
import MySQLdbconn = MySQLdb.connect(host=’localhost’,use_unicode = True, charset = “utf8″, user=’harshad’,passwd=”,db=’statusnet’)

cursor=conn.cursor()

p=cursor.execute(“”"select content from notice where profile_id = 1″”")

g=cursor.fetchall()

q=[]
for i in g:
j=str(i)
q.append(codecs.encode(j))

print len(q)

for e in q:
print codecs.encode(e)

The output of the program was as follows.

python statusnet.py
5
(u’Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time… http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1′,)
(u’hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2′,)
(u’Hallo.’,)
(u’Wussup??’,)
(u’!harshad hi..’,)
["(u'Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1',)", "(u'hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2',)", "(u'Hallo.',)", "(u'Wussup??',)", "(u'!harshad hi..',)"]
root@indiaforce:~# python statusnet.py
5
(u’Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time… http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1′,)
(u’hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2′,)
(u’Hallo.’,)
(u’Wussup??’,)
(u’!harshad hi..’,)
["(u'Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1',)", "(u'hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2',)", "(u'Hallo.',)", "(u'Wussup??',)", "(u'!harshad hi..',)"]

Wow..look at the output. I got a nice tuple. Now do I send a tuple as sms??

After some time I realized that there must be a way to convert all tuples to a string and then send the strings either to the screen or to the mobile or anywhere…

Here is the code..

import MySQLdb
import codecsconn = MySQLdb.connect(host=’localhost’,use_unicode = True, charset = “utf8″, user=’harshad’,passwd=”,db=’statusnet’)

cursor=conn.cursor()

p=cursor.execute(“”"select content from notice where profile_id = 1″”")

y=[]
while (1):
a=cursor.fetchone()
if a == None:break
print a
y.append(a)

print y

g=[]
for i in y:
s=i
b=[j.encode("utf-8") for j in s]

for i in b:
print b
g.append(i)

print “g > “,g

Output

python statue.py
(u’Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time… http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1′,)
[(u'Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1',)]
(u’hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2′,)
[(u'Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1',), (u'hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2',)]
(u’Hallo.’,)
[(u'Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1',), (u'hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2',), (u'Hallo.',)]
(u’Wussup??’,)
[(u'Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1',), (u'hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2',), (u'Hallo.',), (u'Wussup??',)]
(u’!harshad hi..’,)
[(u'Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1',), (u'hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2',), (u'Hallo.',), (u'Wussup??',), (u'!harshad hi..',)]
['Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1'%5D
['hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2'%5D
['Hallo.']
['Wussup??']
['!harshad hi..']
g > ['Traces, many faces, lost till the end of time... http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/1', 'hello.c http://localhost/statusnet-0.8.2/index.php/attachment/2', 'Hallo.', 'Wussup??', '!harshad hi..']

I dont know how many times we land up in a similar situation, now that we have got a list, we can easily iterate through it and get a sleek string as output. No hassles at all.. It still shows some hiccups, nevertheless it works..kludgy but effective. Can work for any amout of rows that we need..

Main intention of writing this place is that I couldent find a better example on google and wondered if I write it, might be useful, and if someone is finding a solution for it, here is it.. :)

End of Logs.

Some freak economics a milkman taught me

Economics is a very facinating mix of theorotical science and practical art of managing money. Apart from spelling the word economics right, theres very little contribution to world economics from my side..

until now..

Few days ago, one interesting bill was attached to our common notepad – It was the milkman bill..Out of utter curiosity, I looked at it and was staggered..!! It read that I had to pay almost 1000/- to the milk man, and the service charges were extra. Service charges in this case was the salary given to the milk delivering boy and some supply chain management costs..

I just calculated – The milkman gets approx 1000 rupees from my house. He delivers milk to adjoining 50 homes. On an average, a family needs 1 litre of milk everyday, and in Pune, the well known brand costs around 32 rupees a litre. So, in all, it works about 30×32 = Rs 960/- per home. Multiply it with 50 families, and the monthly income of the milkman is – 960×50 = 48000..!! The milkman automatically gets a decent discount from the milk supplier since he purchases them in bulk. The other cost is that of the milkboy who delivers those bags early in the morning..I am not sure how much salary he will fetch, lets assume he gets 2500/- pm. Most of the time that boy needs to invest 2 hours per morning and then continue study or any other activity. That leaves Mr Milkman the amount of almost 47000/- pm. Add to it there is no known and official service tax on doing this.Wow..aint that awesome? Add to it that our milkman does work in a bank apart from delivering milk, so this salary is extra to him…

Incredible.!!

I read in papers that many freshers in engineering arent getting jobs and even if they land on one, they have to work as a trainee for well over 1.5 years till they start getting the standard salary. Add to it the cutting edge training costs these engineers invest in.

From the facts based above, I can safely say that I want to be a Milkman…instead of slogging in front of the computer writing cryptic and buggy software, its better I start something like this..!! Till few years ago, milk delivery man was just another poor mans job..today its turned to be a number one earning service with comparative less stress etc. Of course, even this field might have its own unknown risks, losses, and all that stuff, but did anyone ever look at the strange economy behind the scene??

I dont know..

PS – All figures are indicative, your milage may vary. I am an ignorant and untrained economist, so please forgive me if I make mistakes.. ;)

Harshad, no doubt that Milkmen are milking money like anything. But is that the only thing attached to it?

A milkman needs to buy a cow or buffalo. A price which will break even after 2-3 months. Adding to that he needs to develop the customer base which needs lot of marketing cost (though not much considering the company’s marketing cost).

Also, he needs to buy food for those cows and buffaloes. That will also get subtracted from his earnings. He needs to buy shampoos and soaps for washing those cattle. If the cattle get sick he needs to take them to veterinary doctor adding to the total expenditure and subtracting from the earnings.

This is not it, he needs to build a shed for them, keep the surrounding clean, milk the cattle (which is in fact the tough job, to milk the cattle).

If you calculate all these things you will get very restricted surplus. This all accounts for almost Rs. 10,000 monthly (some pluses or some minuses) so what he gets ultimately in hand is around Rs. 38,000.

But even then the earnings or profit he makes is hefty. But the hard work it needs to carry all these operations is very much. And if you really want to get into this business, you will not be able to perform all these tasks and for that you will have to hire someone who will share your profit.

And the main thing is this job or business is unstable and volatile. Because if you under-perform (that means if you don’t produce good quality of milk) the house where you are serving will ask you to stop serving them.

Now considering all these things, you tell me how good this job is.

@Prasad

Well, you are partially right in this case.

The milkman I am talking about dosent maintain cows/buffaloes or goats.

Instead he maintains a heavy duty refridgerator and purchases milk packets in bulk from Chitale, who in turn maintain the milk supply chain and milk producing machinary.

Obviously I dont want to be Chitale, as its a very heavy invested business..

I want to be the local milk man who maintains an important position in milk supply chain, and he is the one who comes in direct contact with end customers.

The profits or expenditures I mentioned are that of the local milkman and not of Chitale or Katraj or Amul..

• Prasad Kulkarni 2:40 pm on September 12, 2009 Permalink | Reply

OK, but still the profits you have mentioned have some sharing components. The bill of electricity he will get by using Fridge. Then there are other factors like, if he owns a place then fine, but if doesn’t own then the rent is added thing.

But he still manages to milk hefty profits.

• Harshad Joshi 2:48 pm on September 12, 2009 Permalink | Reply

@Prasad

Bang on..thats what I am trying ot convey that the milkaman is earning more taxfree profits we can ever imagine..

Add to the fact that no one ever asks the milkman for discount in milk bottle, say a rupee less, say Rs 31. We should all ask for discount, coz as it is we are going to purchase a guranteed 30 milkbottles from him, arent we supposed to get something in return??

Shit, this is very dirty politics played all around..! We are wasting money..!

Save money.

• subbu 7:47 pm on December 29, 2009 Permalink | Reply

The MilkMan gets his milk from another supplier. So doesn’t it mean he spends among the 48000 you had mentioned to procure that milk?

So its not as much profit as it may seem. Even if he gets the milk at 3/4 of its price he is left with 12000 for operations cost. Whatever is leftover of that is his profit.

I am new to this industry. I only started weeks ago and I can tell you that this is a rewarding business for two reasons; it can be and is for me connected to the sustainable agriculture movement today, and second reason; it is lucrative if you want to sell and market and are good at it. I happen to live in one of the most lucrative counties in the USA. And I project that this business first year with only myself can earn $220,000. That is within a 15 mile radius and with 1-2 towns. I plan to move onto the other towns in my county then into Manhattan, New York. we will train other people to be their own distributors. The Milkman Company will take care of marketing, some of the sales jobs, buying power, product knowledge, and other office administrations.

Watch for us in the industry. and watch for our Milkman delivery trucks. These same opportunities can exist for entrepreneurs in other regions of the State, the USA, and globally.

Thank you.

Swine flue in Pune, India, some reasons and questions

Everything is justified.

However, India is more prone to any kind of epidemics because of the inherent unclean habits the common people have.

Add to it the careless attitude of people who actually are supposed to work on complex issues. The recent epidemic wouldent have had been so grave if the airport authorities would have done a more strict check of the people coming from abroad..what did they do? Just filled up a form saying that we are safe..some infected blokes slipped in the city, mixed with people and today, after 10 lives gone, we are wondering from where did it all start..!!

Nuts..isent it??

And one more thing..

This swine flue isent a joke anymore we sit and analyse it esp the punekar way..

Some families have lost their children, working men. This loss cant be justified. At this point of time, we all should support them. We need to realize the gravity of this issue.

Lets not take it like ‘just-another-thing’

Ignorance is a deadly sin, and we are paying for it.

Some things that came in this light

1. Where is Sharad Pawar, the head of National Disaster Management Committee which was set in Mumbai 2005 floods? I think the old guy needs to divert his attention from ICC to India. People are dying, food is becoming expensive and this guy..what is he doing??

2. Where is Suresh Kalmadi? This man is invisible since the Deepak Mankar incident, and even during the swine flu epidemic, he hasent come across to punekars? Is this what we have elected him for?

3. Is this a plot of a foreign power to disrupt the Indian software industry??

4. The CM of MH is a MBA, he is supposed to have knowledge of how to manage things..but he missed it completely. Confused, Ignorant and Pathetic.. Asshok Chavan should sit in his house …

5. Dont get out of home for at least 4 days.

The lesson learnt from Swine flue is – keep clean and make your city clean & green. Every where you can see lot of garbage particlarly in common places of Bhopal and other medium size city. This is a major havoc as compared to other contagious diseases in India. Most of the persons/localites are irresponsible towards thier surrounding environment.

The end brings a new beginning

The end was actually hiding a new beginning in its sphere;

darkness became the light,

the wind turned into the smell of fear…

2008 will end soon. Thank you to everyone who supported me. I had promised, even if this blog might stop for a while, the journey still continues…Some of you mailed me, some of you called me, I thank you. I wont pretend, but your words helped me a lot..

I cannot make you wait for too long..

You can now find me on Twitter – http://twitter.com/sevenlives

House on a tree..the zen way

This is a new venture by me into realms of unknown. I have tried to be honest while writing the Haiku, an art that is obscure, difficult to master, yet at the same time offers simple advice to the reader, the Zen way. At the same time, you can find humour, sarcasism, philosophy, rhythm a blend of everything…As a kid, I read a lot of Aesops Fables, Panchatantra, Indian legends, so expect to find the wise sages, the lonely Hermits, the houseless woods, speaking tigers, poisonous snakes, dangerous scorpions, smiling babies, everything that we encounter in our dreams and real life :) .Sometimes you might not actually feel like reading a stereotype Haiku, but i have tried to preserve the ’3 line rule’ , short is sweet..It offers me several advantages -

1. It requires less time to write

2. It helps to deliver the right message in right time

3. Offers you lot of flexibility in reading, you dont need to be holed up forever in front of pc all the time..

What more I can say now? Its time you can go and read it. Mind you, its Twitter, microblogging has got some limitations, the Haikus I wrote still maintain a rough edge, but I havent tried to hide the naiveness, maybe it will help to end the learning phase a little more fast..Twitter cannot substitute WordPress, but for the timebeing, it serves well..

This is the sample of what you can expect

People understand Tao

People understand Zen

Lying is a bad habit..

This Haiku is obviously meant to target all marketting mongers. They are all of the same catagory, they try to sell you anything making it appear useful, however you bring it, you realize, its a waste of resources. We all need to be careful. Dont invest into something that appears glamorous, glosy. Too much of shine can be harmful. Your money/time/resources are precious, use them wisely and dont succumb to any pressure. In todays age, where recession looms ahead, job cuts are round the corner, we need to make sure we act wisely.

Or

Peace and goodwill

they are everlasting desires

Weak people have got no options…

Todays tough age demands more out of us. No one can afford to be weak and request help all the time. Its apparant that a weakling is a burdan in any society. Unless you are strong, you are firm, you will always stay at the mercy of others, thus making your life miserable and weak. A weak person always desires peaec, but he is unable to fight for it, thus living forever in grief..A lesson we learn from Indias IT sectors debacle – Depend on US for yor jobs, you will always be at the perils of anti outsourcing voices. Obama isent a good man who will work in your favour, making life easy for you. The time isent the same now. Its time to get tough and act accordingly..Develop your own technology and then sell it. Sooner or later the world will be at your feet.

Ok, thats enough for now.

With all your blessings and compliments,

I will be there again…

See you on Twitter.

Well said!
I am totally in agreement with above.
Besides IT, we in the engineering industry are also experiencing slow down . The Infrastructure business which was the flag ship business group of the company, is lying low. Customer who have once placed the orders, are not in position to take deliveries due to cash crunch. Infrastructure business in mostly dependent upon the World Bank Finance . When this source dries down, the going gets tough.

With all the Odds of 26/11 reminds me of this poem:-

Still I Rise —–

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history’s shame
I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

Wish you all happy new year…

Slowly walking out…

goodbye..Good Bye....

Hi everyone.

Whether you have come here by chance, hunting for something you need, or maybe Google/Yahoo! guided you here, or someone recommend you to visit this tiny blog, I want to thank you for visiting.

I think the time is coming, slowly but surely and I am honestly losing my motivation to write. I think I should stop this blog. I met many wonderful people througout these 2 years. I am thankful to them for all the support they gave me. This decision isent going to be very easy for me, but sometimes we have to make a tough mind and act accordingly.

Live life the way it should be. In your day to day interactions, you will come across many experiences, many people. Some of them give you moments to cherish about, some you may like to forget. Whatever the case might be, one mantra to make your life little more better. Be yourself, dont hide. Just believe in destiny, dont care what it says. Just believe in destiny. Love and trust atleast one person and make sure you both stay togather. Learn to forgive the people who mange to hurt you. Many of them do it unknowingly. Just identfy them. And importantly – People around you are like mirrors. They reflect to you what you actually are. If you are one of those actors loving to decieve people, automatically, the people closer to you are the same. If you are a kind hearted person, you will always have company of those people who need you most and you will also have collegues similar to you.

I could write more, but let some things be secret. You know it.

PS – If I regain my motivation, I defiantely will be back…but again, no gurantees.

Till then,

Adeos.

Harshad Joshi.

“तुझा mail आला ना कि एकदम माझे डोले लकाकतात.. i feel much better..i donno why पण एकदम relaxed वाटत.. कितीही रुसलीस ना तरी mail करत जा.. “
“plz चिडू नकोस ग.. बोल ना ग plzzz..”

गेल ते सगळ..
आता उरल्या त्या सगळ्याच्या आठवणी आणि.. आणि हे..

“i just dont love u.. that was my mistake.. now will u plz stop ths and live ur life n let me live mine..”

Life is like that, and no matter how brave I pretend to be sometimes, some things really left an indelible mark on me, although it was nothing earth breaking or nerve shatttering thing, maybe I was a bit changed.

Tip – I want to know who reads this post and finds it relevant.

Moral of the story – This post is dedicated to a wide spread misuse of chatting and instant messaging. I wish I post the real dialog I had, but today, I do not have any kind of feelings left with me, Life has taken a new turn and all the old griefs are dead… :) For some strange reasons unknown to me, I have seen people behave like fools and they reason it for love, baah..There are very important things in life, and I do not think that a so called love is one of them..

I think this is the last post having a tag ‘Love’ on this little blog. :D

If you believe in love, forward it to your near dear ones and even if you dont believe in it, still forward this to your near dear ones..Then find out if there’s truth into it. On a personal note, I wonder, is something called as love so precious that people write about it?? Initially, the title made me think that it was a Red Bull tagline hehehehehe Whatever..;)

School Days

I remember, one day, I was caught eating salted peanuts in middle of class. The teacher not only confiscated my delicious, crispy peanuts, but threw me out of the class. I dont know what happened to those tiny handful of khau. The wicked teacher ate them all, or she threw them into dust bin, I dont know. I miss that taste, I miss the feeling of adventure we used to experience while trying to attempt eating in class when teacher was teaching..it was a way of keeping ourselves awake after the long recess..

However, this isent the greatest adventure I had..

It was summer of 97, and the weather was hot, and for some fancy reasons, the goy sitting in front of me decided that he no longer needed to wear his brown school shoes..he gleefully removed them, and I think he enjoyed fresh air coming to his feet. But for the rest of us, it was punishment. the smell of sweat from his socks was creating high nuisance…So, I decided to play a prank. I reached for one of his shoe. Carefully, I took it away, and passed it to the boy sitting in next row. Fortunately he got an idea what I was upto, he winked as if asking ‘Who?’ I winked back pointing to Chinmay, yes, his name was Chinamy..My intention was only to hide the shoe and let Chinmay hunt for it..but this guy had more funny idea…he passed it along to the next row…and the shoe found itself dislocated somewhere in 6th row. Mind you, I used to sit in 1st row..

In all that process, the teacher suddenly asked Chinmay to answer a question(Chinmay was dozing at that time) Naturally, he was clueless, he stood at his place dumbstuck. The teacher ordered him to walk off the class..It was sort of regular routine for him. Nonchantly, he put on one shoe, and this was when trouble struck…He was unable to locate one of his shoe, and the teacher was unable to understand what was taking so long..She screamed…”Chinmay..!!!” I could watch Chinmays face…those expressions said it all..I mean its so worse, you want to walk off a boring lecture but someone pesky has hidden your shoe, and at that point of time, even I didnt know where his shoe had travelled…He just managed to mumble…”..Mah shoe…e….”, “Shoes…”. Meanwhile, the rest of class realized the grave situation and within seconds, Chinmays shoe arrived at his place using the shortest path first algorithm..Chinmay realized who was the villian behind the scene..He looked at me and said,’ You just wait today after school’

The next day, Chinmay’s parent approached the school teacher, and coz of that, I got transferred from 1st row, 2nd last bench to third row, third bench, directly in front of teacher..only for one week.. :) My height was a proving problem for girls sitting on fourth bench..I came back on my original place..

Meanwhile, I am still wondering whar saved me from getting thrashed from Chinamy and his goons, plain good luck perheps.. :D

8 terrorists arrested in Pune

8 dangerous terrorists of Indian Mujahiddin are arrested from Pune today. They used to hack Wifi connections and use the connection to send threatening emails to Police and government. Its notable that each of them were well educated, the head honcho Mohmmad Mansur Asgar Pirbhai, aged 31 used to work @ Yahoo! one of the most prestigious companies of India on a salary of Rs 19 lakh . Shame on Yahoo! for employing such a terrorist. (Yahoo! India has agreed to share Pirbhoys information to police, still is this the HR policy of Yahoo, shit….)

First, the Samajwadi Party, Congress and that old man Javed Akhtar wailed in favour of Azamgarh based terrorists claiming that they indulged into terrorist activities becasue they didnt had education, jobs etc. Now look at this Mansur Pirbhoy. Educated, having a well secure job and future, still he manages to do terrorist acts, plant bombs, send hate mails, and what else..I was startled to read that this son of a swine Pirbhoy didnt had a hint of remorse for what he did, or what he wanted to do. He was stone cold during interrogations. Should we riddle their bodies with metal in public, just to show what is the fate of being a terrorist?? Meanwhile, Maya Sharma, the widow of Delhi Police martyr, Mohan Chand Sharma has come back strongly at the son of a bitch Amar Singh when he made derrogatory comments againsts the Late Sharma. WTH is Amar Singh?? Why dosent someone rip off his bulging eyes?? Except for Amitabh Bacchan, I think no one would like Amar Singh..

Meanwhile here are few tips

1. If any muslim coms to stay in your building, area, inform the police.

2. If your company has employeed muslim people, check their activities, their mails, their surfing habbits etc.

3. Dont trust what the muslim religious authorities say, muslims *are* terrorists. The Imam of Jama Masjid, Delhi is the biggest terrorist..dont trust the terrorists..

Shivraj Patil, a height of political incompetence

shivrajpatil

Breaking News – Sunday 30 Nov 2008 12:15 pm

After an eventful 3 days of Mumbai attacks, the bastard Sivraj Patil has finally decided to resign form the post of Union Home Minister.

Son of a bitch..!!

Update on 28/11/2008

1. NSG commondos has surrounded Nariman House.

2, The Oberoi and Taj skirmish still continues, a blast is reported..

3. USA sends a team of FBI officials to Mumbai, I dont know what will they do in here..

4. Narendra Modi announces a 1 crore compensation to each of the killed in the attack..

Update on 27 November 2008

Mumbai is being attacked by pakistani militants. India *is* at war..Are we getting it, India *is* at war..!!!

We lost Hemant Karkare, Vijay Salaskar, and numerous others… :(

Shivraj Patil, you dork, why dont you just resign and sit at home telling stories of pre independence era to your grand children..maybe they will believe you are a Man…Terrorists are bombing places at their will, and your crap headed crab, you are sitting in a hi security office delivering bloody quotes..You incompetent nuthead, go away from the post of Union Home Minister, it is a prestigious and responsible ministry once held by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, hailed as the Iron Man of India. Shivraj Patil, dont forget, Sardar Patel was also of Congress, but one thing he had was courage. Courage isent a word, anyone could use it. You need to be a Man, understand it right. You need to be a Man to know exactly what courage means. The other day you were quoted as saying ‘I am not panicking even if terrorists attack’, isent it?? You burly brained nonsense, had the terrorists targetted your family members you would have realized who panicks and who dosent.

Let me tell you – The common Indian isent intimated by any kind of terror attack. We are used to every difficulty in life, every challenge, and every terse situation. But why should people like you get to be there, where you are right now..?? Crap head, just walk the streets of any Indian city unarmed, no security with you then you might get some sense in your brainless skull…

Shivraj Patil, you dork, you are an incompetant politico. Get a life…Get away from the Union Home Minisstry Office. You have already spoilt the prestige of that post, dont detoriate it further…

In a talk given to NDTV, this is what the minister has to say..

“I will resign only when the Congress president Sonia Gandhi tells me to go.”

wow, look at the height of shamelessness…So, according to Mr Shivraj Patil, Sonia Gandhi is the new God. And he will obey his God only…I am speechless…

We need that The law proposed by Narendra Modi, the GUJCOC should be implemented throughout India to battle terrorism. Add to it the POTA. Then I think no terrorist will dare to attack India

Why is Shivraj Patil so sympathetic towards jihadis, terrorists .He avoids using terrorist words and instead use misguided people for the inhuman terrorists.

Shivraj Patil has been the weakest Home Minister we ever had .
why is he so reluctant to make any anti terror law .

He doen’t deserve to be Home Minister of India and must quit if he has a bit of shame.

We need an Obama style revolution to clean up Delhi. Or a sort of French Renaissance. Or else, the common man will continue to die at the cost of arses sitting in fortified and conditioned offices. Wonder where is Raj Thakeray to defend the marathi manoos who have suffered this pain and where is his party! To top it all, the hon’ble home minister spoke about V P Singh rather than people who are still alive and can die at the press briefing!

Best way to counter terrorism
1. Kill all the politicians and give reign to educated and dedicated people like IAS officers, IPS officers .Politicians are the biggest terrorists.
2. Make the entire system more effecient and more accountable.
3. Mr Sibbal says that it was a well planned attack and it was being planned from 2-3 months. Shame on you. Were you sleeping since then. Where the heck is our intelligence? Can we call ourselves a global power when we cant defend even a common man in our country. There are blasts everywhere and every month. Delhi, lucknow, jaipur, gujrat, bangalore, the list goes on.
4. I want a bomb to explode in the parliament when all the politicians are there. They have fucked our country.
5. This non sense statement that we choose the politicians is ridiculous. We will choose from what we get. The whole lot is rotten, what choice does the common man have?

1.After all this, Shivraj Patil should not be asked to resign, he should be “Sacked”.
2. Even yesterday (Mumbai shoot out) he again came in best suit he can afford and had a rose on his coat.
3. Last time when he was confronted by people / media he shouted back saying that he is loyal to his “leader” (read sonia gandhi). NO. Mr. Shivraj you are answerable for us, people of India. You represent India not sonia.

If I might ask, what is the attitude of the general populace towards tour Prime Minister? Is it favorable or unfavorable since this event?

Breaking News – Sunday 30 Nov 2008 12:15 pm

After an eventful 3 days of Mumbai attacks, the bastard Sivraj Patil has finally decided to resign form the post of Union Home Minister.

Son of a bitch..!!

Scooter

Terrorism specially from Muslim twisted minds isnt something new for India. But this time it has hit Indians hard.

The general feeling is “Enough is Enough”.

Everyone knows Pakistan is harbouring , supporting and instigating such attacks.

People want answers and action now.

What more reasons India wants to start attacking pakistan?

Isent this recent carnage not enough to declare a war on Pakistan?

Hi Guys

I understand the feeling of 1) Relatives of the Victims of Mumbai attack 2) The uneasy tense feeling Mumbaikars have when the go out on the streets of Mumbai

Hemant Karkare- Got his BTech as Mechanical Engineer, cleard IPS. When such highly qualified sincere officers are killed, it really is painful and sad.

However, please do not become emotional. Think Rationally.

I have seen emotional remarks like declare war on Pakistan.
Just think for 5 mins. What is the use of war? Will it not breed more hatred? You go and bomb the terrorists and kill them. But, their families will again develop hatred. Hatred breeds more hatred. You are just applying ointment for a disease, rather than curing it using medicines.

LB Shastri resigned as the Railway minister in 1956 owing moral responsibility when a train accident took place killing 144 people. How could he control a train accident ? But still he owned the responsibility.
Our former home minister Shivraj Patil, should have done it on the same lines. Unfortunately, it does not happen that way in today’s politics.

Its collectively responsibility of We the citizens to elect good politicians, report susupicious people to the police immediately.

The only reason why shivraj was allowed to continue is that he is very handsome in his three piece suit does he not?he looks like
a member in house of lords.sonia being from Europe would have liked somebody who looked a French or English. What other reason
could there be for his continuance in that post.just think?

BSNL to launch 3G in Pune

BSNL has planned to launch 3G in Pune, Maharashtra. BSNL is the state owned public limited company. Its the biggest POTS provider and it also provides cellular, wll and internet services. BSNL has planned to invest Rs 300 crore and initially, it will serve about 2000 BSNL customers. Later, in end 2008, they will expand it once the GOI finalizes the 3G deal. To use 3G, you will need to pay 725 per month..

Q. What is 3G ?

Ans. 3G is the third generation of mobile phone standards and technology, after 2G. It is based on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) family of standards under the International Mobile Telecommunications programme, “IMT-2000“. 3G technologies enable network operators to offer users a wider range of more advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency. Services include wide-area wireless voice telephony and broadband wireless data, all in a mobile environment.

Unlike IEEE 802.11 networks, 3G networks are wide area cellular telephone networks which evolved to incorporate high-speed internet access and video telephony. IEEE 802.11 networks are short range, high-bandwidth networks primarily developed for data.

Features

The most significant feature of 3G mobile technology is that it supports greater numbers of voice and data customers — especially in urban areas — and higher data rates at lower incremental cost than 2G.

By using the radio spectrum in bands identified, which is provided by the UTI for Third Generation IMT-2000 mobile services, it subsequently licensed to operators. 3G uses .6 MHz channel carrier width to deliver significantly higher data rates and increased capacity compared to 2G networks.

The .5 MHz channel carrier provides optimum use of radio resources for operators who have been granted large, contiguous blocks of spectrum. On the other hand, it also helps to reduce the cost to 3G networks while being capable of providing extremely high-speed data transmission to users.

It also allows the transmission of 384 kbit/s for mobile systems and 2 Mb/s for stationary systems. 3G users are expected to have greater capacity and better spectrum efficiency, which allows them to access global roaming between different 3G networks.

Issues

Although 3G was successfully introduced to users in Europe, Asia, South America (Uruguay) and Africa, some issues are debated by 3G providers and users:

• Expensive input fees for the 3G service licenses
• Numerous differences in the licensing terms
• Large amount of debt currently sustained by many telecommunication companies, which makes it a challenge to build the necessary infrastructure for 3G
• Lack of member state support for financially troubled operators
• Expense of 3G phones
• Lack of buy-in by 2G mobile users for the new 3G wireless services
• Lack of coverage, because it is still a new service
• High prices of 3G mobile services in some countries, including Internet access (see flat rate)
• Current lack of user need for 3G voice and data services in a hand-held device

My concern

• BSNL is not known to provide anything called as QoS. Infact, not a single telco or ISP in India ever promises to deliver services on minimum QoS. Even most of the consumers dont bother about QoS. Why this carelessness, I dunno..Astonishing to know that 3G can have upto 2Mbps top speed. BSNL actually provides 2 MB as an elite internet service and that too at a premium price, and they dont gurantee that the upload/download sped will be consistant. Call any of their technical teams, they have got an answer – The server through which you ar uploading might be having some problems..Gosh, I am experimenting on their unlimited plan, and all I can get is a paltry 30 kbps download under good conditions…Are they taking me on a ride? Is this what they call broadband??
• Right now, BSNL is promising video calling on 3G. The catch is that many existing customers dont have access to full fledged 3G devices. Also, people having BSNL mobil will be able to make video calls only to those having bsnl as mobil service provider, as no other service provider has got 3G capabilities of now. So, its only bsnl here..Remember those olden days when the BSNL phone used to be dead for major part of day, do we get to see this in case of 3G as well??
• Why didnt BSNL go in for Apple iPhone 3G when they were actually having resources to provide 3G? Its a waste of money and time for those who have purchased it through Airtel or Vodafone…

One things good that we are actually getting some premium services in India, however, as a consumer, we need to demand QoS from all service providers, whether its the ISP, telco or even the government that we elect..(or others elect..)

Unexpected problems??

The best way to avoid problems, is to avoid them.

Look around, you will get to see people who are perfect, they just dont seem to have any kind of conflicts, or any issues, they get well with any situation, any kind of people, they appear so natural, so flawles, sometimes we call them as happy go lucky, but sadely, the moment we try to act like them, we are in deep deep trouble..Heaven sake dont try to copy someone because it appears attractive or seems so perfect and so right for them. Once you are in a problem, dont crib over you getting caught in there when someone else was deserving it, just accept the fact that you werent smart enough to get out of it.

Last week, an errant rave party convict started screaming at me explaining that the rave party was good, he was innocent, and things like that..Actually, I didnt bother anything, but I realized, that he, along with his physiotherapist sister were facing problems, just like I described above. For them, rave party wasent the problem. The problem was, they found their names in the list of convicted people I had put up almost year ago..I imply said- If all that you are fgetting problamatic over seeing your name, the best solution was not to attend the party where you knew drugs were distributed freely…Maybe thats was their fasination, who cares?? That called me a moral brigadeer, a moral police(Hey, what does it mean?), he also called me a Talibani (rofl)..

Anyway, all I can say is – ‘Dont ever get into trouble, and if at all you do, just accept it as fate.’

1. For a mother – To hear the first word from her child

Finally, after much search and much wait, I got hold of her pic. Next time someone searches for Sonali Kulkarni images, this picture should be displayed in the results. Lets see…Its good to know that she hails from Pune.Umm…thats cool.

Hey Sonali, you rock. I wish you good luck for the future.

The New Age dilemma

• S: (n) dilemma, quandary (state of uncertainty or perplexity especially as requiring a choice between equally unfavorable options)

I have discovered a new ego bruising experience. If you are a single individual, and having lot of virtual girl friends on social networking tools like Orkut, then you might have noticed that whenever the girls status changes to ‘commited’ there is something, a sort of silent tiing that goes across the mind..It isent exactly pain or unhappiness, its something mix of surprise, shock, bruised ego and just like that…

No actual reason why this happens, but fair enough, so many times I have preached to people – Digital Social Networks esp Orkut are a fun, playway mirror of our daily lives, but the real problem arises when we start relating those tools with our real life and begin attaching our emotions and expectations to our virtual meetings. A timepass turns trouble for some. Should Orkut/Facebook/Myspace be avoided? Or is it the beginning of a new age desperation? Boy…this things tough to comprehend…Web 2.0 has binded people togather on a common platform but no ones ever thinking of the trouble that is following us..Wake up…Welcome to the new age dilemma.

Because it does’nt really have the potential and performs as copared to H.H karizma or Bj pulser 200 although the’ve priced less compaired to it despite having more potential and extra added features several owners will have to add a bit they really want in it eg-broad radials, pressure horns etc minor but quite essential facts a biker would intend for just make large and crazy for everyone to f$$$ around luv biking

Tags: , , , Slambook, Teen Age

Slambook….after so many years, I remember this…I never got a chance to be in someones slambook, but it was something very hot in my school days. Usually, it was as self decorated book having different sections like we have on Orkut, except that we had to manually fill it in our own handwriting. Bad handwriting wasent allowed and the system was ultra secret. It was meant to be an exclusive girl-to-girl communication system. Boys werent allowed nearby, but I confess that I had once stolen a slambook out of pure curiosity, just to get details of what happens in there. It was luck, but peeping in someones property is equivalent of stealing…Later I meekly returned that book, the girl was shocked..!! She said – ‘Did you read this??’ I said – ‘No, why should I?’ I lied, I know, but I read everything, everything that was supposed to be a secret away from most of boys reach.

Some interesting stuff I remember was

1. The address and phone number – Every girl jotted down her phone number and postal address. In those days cellular phones were non existant and pagers were ultra cool. It was of no great use to me, I did not have a landline number, and the line I used for speaking would be heavily monitored. Besides, I was too lazy to move around on a cranky bicycle hunting for the girls address.

2. Likes – It was default that a girl likes ice cream and black forest. For a long time, I didnt know what black forest meant until someone fed me a delicious combination of chocolate, cake, coffee, ice cream, then I realized its a yummy thing…and since then, its my favourite till date.

3. Favourite colour – Insignificant detail, but pink was common..We dont have this on Orkut :P

4. Favourite film – Most of them mentioned Hollywood stuff. I wasent permitted to see any Hollywood film(officially) till I became 18. Unofficially, I watched many Hollywood movies, and my parents dont know that ;) Never knew why girls liked Tom Cruise. I liked his mission impossible 2 movie, because I was facinated by the bikes in it, not the heroine.

5. Every girl tried to decorate her slam content as good as possible. (I recall, my drawing belonged to the genre of Mr Pablo Picasso. Ultra Modern, abstract, and complex, my teacher once mocked me that you will be the next Picasso of India. She was rude..I didnt like that joke)

Today, I am riding on the messeges sent by Gods of Technology, as if I am from other galaxy, or an Almighty, but innocence is what I want. Those were the best days of my life…Sweet and innocent. Free from complexities of all this world..Todays kids arent so lucky..They have got everything, but the charm of a naive and raw life is unknown to them..Today we have got Orkut, Facebook, Myspace, theres even one online virtual site, but that beautiful handwritten slambook remains an eluded teen age dream…nostologia peheps..

Slambook!!!!!!!
Wow….its so nice you wrote about it….brings back all those memories of school days….went roaming about in class asking ppl to fill it out….
The funniest thing is, i fancied the slam thing so much, that i had 2 slambooks…one in 7th n one in 10th…and i still have them….crazy times =)

Enlightment,a new hope

Men are haunted by the Future. Men are haunted by the vastness of eternity. And so we ask ourselves: will our actions echo across the centuries? Will strangers hear our names long after we are gone, and wonder who we were, how bravely we fought, how fiercely we loved?

I call myself a Peaceful Warrior… because the battles I fight are on the inside..

All Karmas proceed with the force to either remove pain or gain pleasure
Experiencing pleasure and pain, we roam the streets of Samsara

Where there is Birth, there will be certain pain
There is certain Death, and nothing to gain

Not knowing light from darkness we roam the streets of misery
In beauty there is ugliness
In ugliness I see beauty too
What a repulsive body that I have which oozes grime and filth
These carnal desires do I find unfulfilling

Where there is Birth, there will be certain pain
There is certain Death, and nothing to gain

Sadashiva Samarambham Shankaracharya Madhyamam
Asmadacharya Paryantam Vande Guru Paramparam

सदाशिवा समारंभम् शंकराचार्य माध्यमं
आसमादचर्यां पारयनतम् वन्दे गुरू परंपरामं

Finally the Truth is seen
Unknowable once to me but now known to me
What an error it is to take myself to be what I am not

No words can reveal me
Yet words alone set me free
The beatitude revealed through desciplic succession

No delusion for me
I am the ever free
No illusion for me
I am the ever free

Finally, the desires are Ash, I smear those ashes on my forehead and I free myself. Bhasma on my body..Bhasma on my soul..I am liberated….the Pain turns to Love….a new hope..Maya reveals her true form…

Maya is inevitable…

I submit myself to Maya..

Maya has set me free…

The revelations are known…

May there be peace..

As one of the noble truths of buddha say,

all human existence is painful, eliminate the pain by eliminating the cause.

Buddha was suffering from acute depression…But do you know that Buddhas teachings did protect Indian sub continent from maniac Mongols till 1962 India China wars??

The only way to prevent any sorts of conflicts is to accept the things as they come to you without asking for its purpose or to think about its consequences. The only truth is the Desires we have with us. Denying Desires for some imaginary reasons is root cause of sorrow, and its funny that in todays marketing age, people can cash on sorrow too..if you can cash it on, sorrow is fine, else submit yourself to Maya unconditionally, rest assured, everything works in your favour…

You were the one I was dreaming all my life..You were my rain, you were the Sun, I needed both, because I needed you..Words are poor substitutes for feelings, specifically those feelings which are intense, at the same time too complex…But now what remains is the Ashes…The Ashes of Desires…The word cruel is too overused, how can people be so cruel? Why? What makes them behave so brutally? Am I always wrong in learning people? How can it be? She was so beautiful…I remember..it was cold November..leaves were falling..life was a dream…Today my dreams are lost, but I thank God for the little chance he gave me to have those wonderful experiences. Thank You God, I used to see you through her. Bless her.

Poem is stolen from here.

Dedicated to my lost love – Honey, I loved you immensely

Every time u call i freeze
When your close to me i feel a chilly breeze
I know something is not right
Could u b the one making me feel so tight

I didn’t use to like u
But now could it b true..
Am i falling in love with u?

So innocent, so sweet and surreal
Casting a swirling aura around us
Turquoise eyes drowning and drenched
Within the angelic love song

The hearts had met to one mystic soul
Wanted to feel this forever and ever
Never to cease and fade, never to wane
My love I always felt , would always
Last till the end of the time.

I agree that this short peom isent mine, I take no credits for it. I dont know who’s written it, but what matters is that its an apt example of whats going through my mind..Normally I dont speak mushy, but now I am letting it out in public.

Honey, listen to me, you may never know or understand it, but if you read this, I confess that I loved you more then anything else. True we may never meet, but if I could show you what true love was, then its this….My words are turning empty, but the feelings arent…Dear God, if you get time from you daily chores, can you please listen up a prayer I sent for her? Keep her happy. Just keep her happy, I know what pain is like, but I wish she remains happy. She retaught me the purpose of life. Those beautiful moments she passed with me make me feel heaven. I have no complaints with what happened, nor I care a damn about whats gonna take place, but the fact is, I am in deep love, I am rediscovering myself in a form previously unknown to me..

Gosh, these feelings….let the rain come down and wash away my tears, let it shatter the walls and drown my fears..I feel as if I had been kissed by an angel of Love..A new day …has come…..

To all those boozing hounds and enemies of Love and haters of God, non believers in Love – This post is not meant for you. Not at all for you. If you are the pathetic and immature souls whose concepts are fake as that of Maya, get a life..shoo away, you get it, just fly away..hide yourself into deepest dark oceans or infinite space..Go….!!!!

Disclaimer While the people I write about are real, the experiences I post here may or may not be real and related to people I know. Its just my thoughts I have spoken to myself. If anyone of you finds a co-incidence, then rejoice…maybe I have taken some inspiration from you..And honestly, I do not hate anyone in life, even if you have managed to break my heart, you know that I am a brave soul ;) Maybe 10 years from now I look back and say – O boy, I was so mad, crazy at times, I dont know. We are all strong and weak at times. So dont mind anything, just read, enjoy and move on with life

Good Grief

This heartbreak hangover has continued for fairly long time, I mean its more then a week I havent been able to pick my spirits up. In one point of view, everything appears as a dead end, especially in this fast globalized ultramodern age, with so much technology and gadgets around, who would bother to wait and listen? Its such a fast paced world. Friendship made and broken in seconds, split seconds without batting an eyelid, On the other hand, the mind, the frenziness of emotions and feelings tell an otherwise story. Whom to really care for? Inspite of technology, the communication and understanding gap still prevails between people. This comes to notice specifically when one apologizes to a girl by making use of email/sms/chat combo. Even a guy advised me to meet her and sort it out. Boy, I had that courage and might, then probably I wouldent even have these bad feelings get into my way. This is Karma, we attach our emotions with so many people really without knowing the consequence of what will happen in future. Some blokes I know are pretty calculated individuals, they do not allow emotions to get in their way, call it a professional approach of sort.

This incident taught me many things.

1. No matter how much rich your dad is, a gurl will first look at you and your capabilities. Atleast the one who analyses you for a long time dosent get impressed by the prizes you won, she looks at the job and the yearly package. No other impression ever works.. :(

2. Surrounded by technology, we might get a feel of being a technocrat or whatever, but primitive feelings like emotions, rage, jealousy still exist. By no means we can avoid it. The forms and definations of ego might have changed, but it still continues to hurt as hell.

3. Love hurts. In every age Love hurts. It has hurted me a lot. I dont know if I am mature enough to understand its true meaning, but the seen consequence makes me wonder – I am freaky enough to be loved?I am an equally loved and hated guy, I remember most of those occasions when I was hated..

Gosh darn those status lines on my Gtalk – Love and Hate are one and all, sacrifice soon turns to revenge..

A girl may not find these lines romantic enough, especially when shes commited to someone else. She will take it as an ominous sign of flirting, and bang, thats the end of all relations..no amount of apologies work, meeting is impossible, no truce…no peace, direct attack…what else??

4. If you have been hurt before in relations, its wisdom to avoid complications in first place itself. If any jilted lover is reading this, I would advise – Avoid relations that do not exist. Example – A fragile relation that occured during a meeting over in social networking tools like MySpace, Orkut, FaceBook etc. These relations are never serious, they do not have any name, Modern pundits call it cyber relations, I dont have any good name for it. I mean its crazy concept to even think of attaching a name and emotions to a thing that exists in electronic world. Its true that sentimental fools like me are fond of attaching their feelings to the most ridiculous and insignificant things that exist in this world, its difficult at times. Here, every occasional hi, hello is a symbol of friendship, and every relation is apparantly a permanant one. Madness in all respect….I am a mad person who has got a provan track record of being in madly with love with girls I know I would never get to see, to touch, to talk and so on…This is my flaw, and I seriously need to get over it. My ex girl friend said that she avoided me because I did not had a ‘pure’ friendship with her. If I know that saying hello to her in wee hours of morning can spell as disaster I am suffering from, I would have avoided it. I am going to avoid it all togather throughout my life. Never send a girl an sms that can spoil your party. Controversies are never comfortable…

5. Even if sacrifice may turn to revenge, you may not see the face who would say ‘I love you, I will kill you, but I will love you forever’ (Sobs…Sobs…..Tears…Sniff) I didnt :( Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…….

I will update this if my girl replies back to me, else think this as the end of this post (and my spoilt relation as well ) Hey Girl, dont mind, I will still continue loving you..Pure love knows no limits :( (Sic..Snifff…)

@ Adi

Hi Adi. I met her. I apologized using all the words I knew till today, but she didnt like my new role of a jilted lover. I asked her if our relations would be right as they were earlier, she indirectly said ‘No.’ If this wasent enough, as per expectations, she informed me that shes getting married soon…I could do nothing more but nevertheless, I congratulated her. That was the only option I had, nothing more we can do. Relations are a crazy thing.

Age of Lonliness is bad enough, and someone telling you that you are lonly is more bad then ever….

I can’t agree more. Love hurts. Avoid relations that do not exist. Example – A fragile relation that occured during a meeting over in social networking tools like MySpace, Orkut, FaceBook etc. My last messy relationship started from Skype. And here I am now with my grief. *sob sob*

Moments of madness and sadeness(and peace too)

Its night. I am on the terrace, waiting for Nikhil. Our meeting is late by almost 2 hours, and on top of that, the sms meant for him went to someone else whom I have recently hurt a lot. Yeah, she was my only good friend who used to enquire – ‘Howz you’, no one, even my so called best buddies never asked me so sweetly of how am I? No one cared. I mean why would anyone bother?? My image in front of them is that of a warrior, every move is a war, every step is a step taken in battlefield, no place for emotions. Warriors are not meant to be asked ‘Howz you’, its assumed that they are fine. Why emotions? The only emotions that were known were Rage, and madness fueled by arrogance and ego, an ego I dont remember the time I carried first. Why do I have that image? Why am I attracted towards pain? Why do I have so much ego and arrogance that not only hurts me but also the people who are around me. Why? No one bothers to know this, but I am going to put it in public, I am suffering it for past 3 days, and its too much for me. The guilt is killing me. Its not the first time, but then who says that sufferings are easy? Sufferings are sufferings, everytime we suffer, it hurts. It hurts like hell. Why did I make a hell of my only good relations? Was I proud? Was I vain? Was I mad? I dont know, but definately I am sade.

Coming back to the meeting. Nikhil and I met after almost 2 months. Strange thing. Two brothers living in a same place chat over Instant Messenger, instead of offline meetings. Ridiculous or inevitable? Is it overuse of technology or height of geekiness?? Whatever…

I told him for my problems. His solutions are always working. I trust him for almost anything. He said – ‘Brother, why did you suffer?’, I said ‘I dont know’, pat came the reply – ‘Coz you are new to it’, I said ‘But she didnt feel anything about it’ He responded – ‘ Reason is that – its not new for her’ Boy, I wonder from where my brother gets these answers? He is genius for sure. He makes a good software engineer, ruthless at times, but very practical and to the point. Not unlike me, an emotional fool, too vulnerable to get hurt in this hard world. Is this the reason why I wear a mask of a Warrior? I dont know.

We discussed many things- Current trends in industry, the upcoming standards, the bugs, the errors, the childhood memories, esp the one of playing hockey and football, had a good laugh at it remembering our innocent days.It was an innocent world far far away from tangents of todays technology.Candy tasted like Candy, sugar was sweet, TV was cartoons and joy was joy, no adultrations. Mom says I am still that innocent child trying to find his lost toys in a huge world. Lost toys? Will ever I get to regain my lost toys?

BTW, a sms seeking her apology has gone unanswered. I know it reached her,but currently she is too hurt to respond. I will wait. Time can heal every wound. Hate can be pacified. Desires can be overcome, only Time knows how and when…

To be continued…

Why! …

I was childish and unfair
To you, my only friend
I regret, but now it’s too late

I can’t show you anymore
The things I’ve learned from you
Cause life just took you away

And I’m asking why! …
And I’m asking why! …
Nobody gives an answer
I’m just asking why

But someday we’ll meet again
And I’ll ask you

And I’ll ask you why! …
Why it has to be like this
I’m asking you why
Please give me an answer

Many years and stupid fights
Till we accept to see
How it was and it’ll always be

Why it has to be like this
Why we don’t realize
Why we’re too blind to see the one
Who’s always on our side

And I’m asking why! …
And I’m asking why! …
Nobody gives an answer
I’m just asking why

Just tell me why! …
Why it has to be like this
That the good ones disappear
I’m asking you why

And I’m asking why! …
And I’m asking why! …
Nobody gives an answer
I’m just asking why

And I’m asking why! …

Karma

Whatever happens, happens…

We create, We destroy

A form, nobody knows….

Desires create, Desires destroy

Still, Karma spares no one…

The Eternal Sacred Flame..

Always burns…

Feel…Understand…Learn….

Look into mirrors of your soul, love and hate are one and all…

Sacrifice soon turns to revenge and believe me, you would see the face who will say – I love you, I’ll kill you, but I will love you forever..

These were the lines on my gtalk status, and the girl I was meeting for almost 2 years decided to abandon me. True there was no offline relation between us, nevertheless I was fool to associate my emotions with someone who was never mine. ‘Pure Friendship’ Duh.. How can she be so cruel, so cold hearted, so mean? So much that it brought tears to my eyes..after a long time, I remember – Tears dont taste good, they have got lot of sorrow filled in…I hate em. A man hates tears..And by the way, if purity is so weak that it gets broken so fast, then I hate it too..(Tears…cries…) :(

The 100th post

Love - Picture of hearts

I am in love, inspite of the fact that I am not going to reach anywhere closer. Strange word this Love, one of the most primitive feelings yet the strongest one with no parallel. I know its crazy to fall in love with someone you have never seen, just occasionally heard and met only through Instant Messaging. Is this relation called cyber love? Whatever…

Even if its a cyber or virtual love, I wont deny, my feelings are as strong as ever…Love hurts, when the girl you are after seeks someone else, Love definately hurts…but falling for her is a crazy concept in all aspects, God knows why I have affinity to fall for someone elses girl….3 times it has happened. 1st time – I didnt had courage to speak up, the 2nd instance – she was married (she was my teacher..!!) and now, this 3rd time – Shes committed already, and poor me, is bruised yet again for absolutely no reasons..once again I experience the sadeness…

The only memories for a jilted cyber romancer like me is to occasionally go through the IM chat history desperately trying to capture those wonderful moments or to go through the sms she sent me…Boy, I have gone crazy, crazy as ever….

Monday, 16 Jun 08

Actually I am feeling much better now. I think a blog post helped me more then half a dozen anti depressant pills and couple of beers. So, moral of the story - The Zen Hindu Brahminism advices to write a blog each time you succeed, each time you fail, each time you are happy, each time you are sade. Posting or writting helps to unpersonify dukkha..

Unwiring Pune – Indias first Wi-Max enabled city

Finally its there. The ‘Unwiring Pune’ project has kicked off.. This new wirefree access utilizes WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) and Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) technologies to equip Pune with high-speed wireless internet. Wireless connectivity will allow people to access the Internet through a laptop or personal digital assistant (PDA), sans the need for cables. WiMAX is claimed to be the most cost-efficient way of building wireless data networks and a means to link people over large distances for “last mile” connectivity and bridging the digital divide. Taking a leap over Bangalore and Hyderabad, Pune will become the first Indian city to have a high-speed wireless Internet network even before the Centre’s much-awaited spectrum policy is announced. Initially Pune did had a demo of wireless internet access on Walking Plaza, but today, this project has finally taken off in grand style. Streaming, broadband access and that too with ease and convinience is sure to rock Pune. Imagine the power of Broadband without the hassles of wires..

What more can I say? Its true that Pune was coming in news for all the wrong reasons(rave parties, orkut misuse etc), but now I think that this news makes one feel good….Similar kind of service is provided by the search engine giant Google in San Francisco. Now we are at par with the developed regions in some departments, if not all, but that shouldent stop us from being happy..

Q. What is WiMAX?

A. WiMAX (World Interoperability for Microwave Access), based on the IEEE 802.16 standard, is expected to enable true broadband speeds over wireless networks at a cost point to enable mass market adoption. WiMAX is the only wireless standard today that has the ability to deliver true broadband speeds and help make the vision of pervasive connectivity a reality.

There are two main applications of WiMAX today: fixed WiMAX applications are point-to-multipoint enabling broadband access to homes and businesses, whereas mobile WiMAX offers the full mobility of cellular networks at true broadband speeds. Both fixed and mobile applications of WiMAX are engineered to help deliver ubiquitous, high-throughput broadband wireless services at a low cost.

Intel currently plans to integrate WiMAX and WiFi into its notebook platforms based on Intel® Centrino® Mobile Technologies. Pairing the two will help bring users the ultimate in high-speed mobile broadband. Intel believes that WiMAX, with its technical and economic advantages, should help enable mainstream adoption of personal broadband.

Moral of the story – Get a laptop having Intel Centrino Mobile Technology.. :D

Update : 23 April 2008 – No further development and this project seems to have lost momentum

Dish TV

5 reasons for avoiding satellite TV services in India esp Dish TV

1. Dish TV is a utter crap service handled by a couple of jerks. Their STB’s (set top boxes) are manufactured in China and are of very inferior quality. One of our boxes has gone on a ride

2. Their service is very bad. I dont know any other company which dosent provide TV services even after paying the alloted rent.

3. The dealer and the company have got different opinion about the schemes and number of channel subscription.

4. The movies on demand are of utter crap quality. They are mostly unwatched B or C grade Hindi movies which were thrown out of theaters in the 1 week itself.

5. The customer care is handled by half paid blokes. One of them asked me to do a MASTER RESET and discovered that there is a ‘problem’ in their STB. Whoa….Its like formatting the disk and trying to find the stored data in there…and then saying ‘Oh, there might be a lil’ bug’.

One positive thing about Dish TV is that free-to-air channels can be viewed on the STB, even if monthly rent isent paid on time(this can change soon). However, I dont need to clarify about the media quality of free-to-air channels. Its unspeakable.

I think the TRAI has lost a chance to earn more bribe by leaving out the TV section. Pathetic dogs.

Dear Friend,
Just In reply of your view specially on Dish Tv. As i am using Dish TV for past 2 years and till there is no problem with services or with any instrument.
1. As you said about STB i don’t think its of inferior quality else it will not work smoothly for last two years.

2. About dealers and company everybody will have same information. As currentlythey have one great offer “FREE BHI ZYADA BHI” in this you will get 6 month free on 1st Connection and 12 Months on second.

3. Movie on deman….they shown a lots of good movie as well like munna bhai, phir hera feri….and list goes on.

4. About customer care till now i have faced any problem they resolved my queries very nicely.

Further list of goodies are very large as compared to other key players in the market.
