I am typing this from a shiney new Android 4.0 laptop..of course its hacked quite a bit to run on x86 platform.
Apps dont run that smoothly over this machine, but nevertheless it offers quite good Android 4.0 experience.
After experimenting with Android, i realized how much web 2.0 makes up for Android apps. Almost 80% apps are meant to run online and interact with social networks, streaming videos, sharing data etc.
Android is not as everyday os for standalone machines, but on internet, its the best so far.
Ok, iPhone and Windows phones are fighting, but Android will make it good.
This much is enough for timebeing. WordPress has created this fine app, and i am loving it.
Overall, Android can truely replace your windows os if you have netbook. Perfect cloud OS it is.
Awesome.
when was the last time you didnt had any label or string attached with you. a life like a free bird perching on any tree he likes..
no email id, no cell phone, no job profile, no gimmicks, no one to bother for, no information overload, no social networks, no youtube, nothing..my first computer didnt even had network card. only thing we used to do was to play shareware games provided with PC Quest and Chip. and some bit of C programming.
my journey in this www digital world started in 2003 when i registered for my first yahoo id. and its expanding and growing since then..
2003 seems like some 6 months ago..in reality, its almost 10 years ago. time flew so fast. freaking 10 years. imagine counting 10 years. how much is that?
dont know what i will type 15 years after today. i will leave this post for that time.
Petrol Can will be the new diamond ring in coming years. Use oil wisely.
social networks are publicizing personal emotions and creating a kind of vacuum that literally is sucking everything you have got and showing to to public. and worse, you are appreciating this fact.
already we have got huge information overload. not sure where facebook will lead us. in India, Orkut was actively used in 2005-08..facebook killed it. Now who will kill +facebook in what way remains to be seen.

These days we have got two social lives. One in real world and other in virtual world of social networks like Facebook and/or Twitter.
I was reading an article of why Facebook causes a new stress on users. - http://www.opposingviews.com/i/new-report-facebook-causes-stress-depression-anxiety and http://www.switched.com/2011/02/16/facebook-causes-stress-anxiety-hooks-us-anyway/
An important finding from one of the posts is
Charles speculated that many users may feel anxious because of the site’s intrinsically self-centered structure. “It’s like being a mini news channel about yourself. The more people you have the more you feel there is an audience there,” Charles told the BBC. “You are almost a mini celebrity and the bigger the audience the more pressure you feel to produce something about yourself.”
In short, Facebook tries to create a virtual but fake celebrity out of users, whatever might their real life be. By including photos, videos, quotes, events, Facebook is like more of someone PRO promoting your personal life..publishing your details to world.
But in the end, we should always remember that Facebook is a virtual world. Whenever you log into Facebook, you invest time, bandwidth and personal data in it..which is obviously not free. Remember not to get carried away by frenzy of getting a ‘celeb’ status. It is very easy on Facebook to get influenced by someone more elite then you and you can waste lot of positive energy attempting to be like them.
I found out some old tips that will help you to stay updated with everyone without getting bogged down by all the information Facebook hurls at you.
1. RSS feeds – If you want to find out latest information about a product, technology, or anything, you just need to subscribe to their RSS feeds. A good thing about these feeds is that most of sites dont have ads in them, thus providing you with clutterless information. However, it might not take too long before companies bombard you with ads in RSS feeds
2. Email – Email is the reason why internet became popular. IM or real time communication is taking fight against email, but there is no substitute for emails as yet. Answering emails is more easy and more natural then replying to real time IM…not only emails allow you to think before answering, it is also more productive due to push mail services that are available on handsets, computers etc.
3. Be social in real life – It takes nothing extra to be nice with people..meet people. Maintain good relations with them. If you ever get into trouble, the real people you know will be the first to help you out. Speaking and conversing with people helps better then posting fancy updates.
4. Facebook is not the ultimate goal – Facebook is just another way to share things, its not the ultimate communication or the end point of what communication will be like. As we are evolving, we might have advanced tools at our disposal.
Well it can be sorted and that stress kept at bay, if you don’t take yourself seriously
yeah. everything can be sorted out, but an individual needs to know how much stress to bear and how much to keep at bay.
social networks is just a phase we are passing . we all had a life before fb and i bet there will be life beyond fb as well
I absolutely agree!
yours truly,
A social media junkie (

as a technology user and creator, facebook is quite marvelous in terms of accessibility, scalability and concept.
but how long will it grow selling users data to partners? at some point it will reach saturation point and this juggernaut will stop rolling. we will go back to days where mobile phone will be used as a mobile phone to call people and send sms.
it will take approx 8 years more and we will go back to normal life we had before 2005. a life before GPRS, broadband, blogs etc went mainstream.
That makes a lot of sense. Didn’t see that far into the future of social media. I enjoyed reading your post about it.
Hi
I am reading the Emperor of Maladies-just started actually, and have read about 50 pg only so far. So far the book has no reference to the ancient indian texts and curiosity about Ancient Indian comments or finding lead me (thanks to google) to your blog.
Then like other netizens i got diverted to reading your page on ancient vedic mantra that heal and cure.
Needless to mention, i am suitably intrigued by your views, and range of topics you are covering in these articles…
i will visit this again surely.,, inshallah..! our attention span is like a 2 yr olds these days .. as i write this vijay mallya’s assets are flashed on tv and the startling (well not so startling) fact is announced that his total debt to banks thru 6 of his companies is a whopping 14000 cr..
for a rich beyond words man, with 26 properties, a luxury mall, 200 horses, and 16 vintage cars … the king of goodtimes will go down in debt may be. but at the same time, i worry for the PSU bankers who financed such ventures, coz the witch hunting for them would be terrible…
anyway the mind is a potpourrie of millions of thoughts and so it flitted from the treatiseon cancer to our ancient indian scriptures, to power of yagna, to reading about your cheerful profile …….and then thanks to the audio-visual stimulant of tv- to mr mallya!!! au revoir…

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 52,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 19 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Hello from my J2ME wordpress client.
If Sarah has uploaded her pool party pictures and set it as public, it is not creepy since she is okay with the idea that the pictures are publicly viewable. If someone peeks unauthorised to a private pool party, that is voyeurism (creepy). Therein lies the difference.
This is true of many awkward situations in real life…
